7 Days Jeep Safari Nairobi, Laikipia, Solio, Aberdares & Samburu

Upon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be expected by your driver with a nameplate and taken to your hotel a bit outside the noisy and hectic city centre – 1 overnight at Hotel Rudi.

After a delicious breakfast, head to the fertile region of Mt. Kenya. You will arrive at the lodge for late lunch.

In the afternoon you can either explore the surroundings of the lodge or take a stroll through the small town of Nyeri and visit the market– 3 overnights at Rhino Watch Lodge (B/L/D).

After breakfast, full day game drive at Solio Ranch.

Over 100 black and white rhinos live in the private sanctuary and it is not uncommon to spot larger groups. One can discover also big cats as well as buffalo, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles and hyenas.

Picnic at lunchtime in the reserve.

In the evening you will return to the lodge (B/L/D).

After an early breakfast you drive to Aberdares National Park Gate, where you will be accompanied by an armed ranger to go on a guided hike (3-4 hours). You cross dense mountain forest and spot the animals of the forest. If you are a good hiker, come even about the tree line to high-level moors and waterfallsand take your picnic in the nature.

In the afternoon, explore the park on a game drive to spot elephants, warthogs, buffaloand various species of monkeys. You might even see the giant bush pig or a bongo.

You will come back to the lodge in the late afternoon (B/L/D).

After breakfast on the sun terrace, head north to the Samburu National Reserve.
On your game drive to the camp you will spot the first animals such as elephants, zebras and reticulated giraffes.

After lunch, we go on another game drive in the afternoon to spot lions and a leopardin the evening light.

Return to your camp by the river after sunset – 2 overnights at Samburu Intrepids Camp (B/L/D).

Even today you will discover the beauties of landscape and wildlife of the reserve. Your day starts with an early morning game drive along the Ewaso Ngiro River before sunrise. The crocodile, gerenuk, Beisa-Oryx and more enjoy the first sunlight.

You will be back at camp for breakfast. You will then go on another game drive until noon.

After lunch and some rest, you will go on afternoon game drive to spot Somali ostrich, cheetah and Grevy zebra, among many other animals.

After sunset, you return to the camp and enjoy your dinner (B/L/D).

Once again you can enjoy the morning hours in the national reserve: After another early morning game drive and breakfast at the camp, you do a slowly game drive to the park exit and then drive back to Nairobi.

Stop at the equatorin Nanyuki and for picnic lunch on the way.

You will arrive in the capital in the late afternoon and be dropped off either at your accommodation or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (B/L).
