The landscape of the Masai Mara is simply enchanting: golden-yellow grassland or picturesque hills – depending on which part of the Masai Mara you are in. Especially the migration of the wildebeest from Serengeti to Masai Mara is an impressive spectacle (usually between July and October), in which the big cats are not missing.
In general, the animal wealth of the Masai Mara will overwhelm you. Not only the Big Five feel at home here, especially the large herds of grass-eaters and giraffes in the vastness of the savannah inspire the visitor.

Day 1: Ukunda/Diani Beach - Masai Mara
Around 7 am you will be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the airstrip Ukunda/Diani Beach. The flight departs at 8 am for Masai Mara National Reserve. You arrive at around 10.30 am and and board directly a vehicle with an experienced driver from the accommodation.
On the way to your accommodation you will see the first wild animals such as antelopes, gazelles, zebras and maybe even lions.
After a tasty lunch you have time to review your first impressions and to relax a little.
At 3.30 pm you start another game drive until sunset in Kenya’s most animal-rich reserve.
After dinner, you can sit by the campfireand admire the stars. Listen to the sounds of the night before falling asleep and look forward to another eventful day (L/D).
Day 2: Masai Mara - Ukunda/Diani Beach
Before breakfast, you start for an early game drive, the best time to see the hunters of the savannah in action. Since it can be still cool we recommend to put on a jacket.
You will be back at your accommodation for lunch. At around 1 pm you will be brought to the airstrip, from where you will arrive in Ukunda/Diani Beach after a 2 hour’s flight. Upon arrival, we will bring you back to your accommodation in Diani (B/L).
